On the 58th day of my solo trip to Laos, in search of the absolute value of sharing…

Today, I walked about 30 kilometers from Tianchang to Muang Kham.

Today, I am heading to Muang Kham, which is the largest city in northeastern Laos, except for Samrua and Phonsavan, which is quite a large town. However, this section is also just a mountain road that leads for a long time into the mountains of the primeval forest without permission.

Following the innkeeper’s recommendation that homelessness would be inevitable if we walked, we didn’t think we would have to go through the trouble of buying it, so we decided to give up walking this section today, choosing a passing bus, and sitting at the entrance stop of the village.

However, the winning bus was so old, how hard it was to climb the mountain after a while, and the noise of the vehicle roaring in my ears made my ears tingle, and I felt like I was about to stop.

But fortunately, contrary to my concerns, I was still arriving at the entrance of Muang Kham earlier than I expected, and I began to see the authorization that had been cut off for a while.

Unexpectedly, the scenery outside the window was unusual, and although it was not yet a bus refueling, I was able to ask the driver to stop the bus as if possessed by a ghost. The houses along the road were making merry sounds, tempting me.

Oh my gosh! He interrupted me, but he was so welcoming, I didn’t know what to do. And after a while, I was dragged to the front of the stage and danced with the villagers,

This time, I handed over the microphone and told them to sing a song, even if it was unaccompanied. I couldn’t run away from it anymore, I was just embarrassed. But I couldn’t tell if it was the situation, whether they understood it or not,

I had no choice but to sing an old Korean pop song that I usually enjoyed. But what happened the other day, I asked for an encore, one more song that I couldn’t even sing well.

I decided to go until I went, and I sang it hard. Im grateful that they listened to a song that I didn’t even know the content of, as if to confirm the excellent choice that I expected, but I wonder if they were sincere enough to accept it until the third song.

I was able to blend in properly because I was willing to put the hunchback on properly, but anyway, thanks to being a foreigner, I was able to get a decent treatment for the price of the song.

I was able to sample it for free, but I was a little embarrassed because I ate so much and so much.

I found out that today is a New Year’s celebration at the end of the holiday, when all the villagers prepare one or two kinds of food at their own homes, bring it to the village hall, and share it with everyone.

Due to the nature of the party, it was natural for me to have a formal event that was less burdensome, and it could be a very rich and happy day that I could enjoy while eating and enjoying it without being noticed.

I was able to wash away the nightmare of the bus in the morning, and I was able to indulge in happiness by giving my stomach a wonderful feeling of satiety all day, and I thought that I had saved enough money not to starve to death for the next few days.

But the problem is that I don’t know what kind of iron plate I put on my face, and I stopped and sat down, and from the next day onwards, I’m going to look for the leftover liquor from house to house, and I’m going to take it out as if it’s the liquor I’ve left to you, and I’m going to finish what happened to the drink.

I was floundering for one more day, and I was lying around for five more days. Thanks to this, I was able to taste most of the Lao mountain food, which was usually like our food, and of course, all the army, navy, and air force were dispatched, but since there was no sea, the bottom fish participated in the war.

Meat such as cows, pigs, ducks, and chickens raised and cultivated by us are combined with fresh vegetables (natural products that do not use any pesticides due to the high cost of pesticides), and are based on pip (barbecue), jung (tempura), sea bream (soup), cotton (fermented), and lap (buried).

We ate glutinous rice with genglamai (bamboo shoots), tammango (mango), and sompak (water kimchi), especially a cup of traditional liquor (lao lao) given to us by a 111-year-old old man, the oldest person in the village, and the beautiful young ladies in slender traditional costumes.

It was a few days when I couldn’t help but be immersed in traditional dances (Lao ‘lambon’ hand movements are very beautiful) and songs, a very simple but rich festival, and a merry feast. Originally, I heard that in Korea, a party was held from the Lunar New Year to the full moon of the New Year,

I never dreamed that I would experience it here in Laos, but in fact, when I started my trip, I gradually forgot the concept of individual dates such as birthdays and holidays, but in front of the preciousness of every day given to the Lao people from the cradle to the grave.

I couldn’t help but be grateful that I was able to learn that even though it was not special at all, I was always willing to give a small gratitude to them, and that I was greeting each day with them.

Even if I don’t have to imagine any special meaning, as I think about the end of my year, which is only a few days away, and the brainwashed days that still remain, I feel like a small cut in front of the years that are flowing by, and how have I been in the face of so many promises in the past year?

Today, I think about the promises I made to myself more than anything else and reflect on what made me make a promise to myself despite my own limitations, vain and reckless on the uncertainty of only prediction.

Looking back, I wonder if I was sometimes making whims and excuses, deceiving myself, thinking and acting with a certain way of thinking, and ultimately destroying the credibility of the promise.

First, in that reliability, there must be good faith and an incision that is preceded by the truth with oneself, but the faith that one can trust, the incision that one can keep, and the evaluation of everything are the truths that only one can know.

In fact, if you are unwavering in your loyalty and self-discipline, you will not be capricious or deceived, so in the end, whether you keep it or not, you will only decide for yourself, and if it was a predicted act that was already decided even though you knew that you could not keep it,

He said that he should realize that he should never deceive himself with repeated mistakes. Keeping in mind that a promise to oneself leads to one’s own loyalty and self-discipline, the usual mental cultivation and emotional cultivation could act as a significant variable.

Since actions based on one’s mind control prove one’s personality, and a promise to oneself can be said to be one’s own development for self-realization, it should not be just a sensual thing, but a more practical truth.

It was confirmed that it should start with a resonance from the depths of the heart. Now, with the very human sharing and consideration that I was able to get from them, I think about the need to return to my original attitude and continue my journey.

Let’s end today by resolving to go back to Tubukgi again, learn about the simple but beautiful true day, and walk with a small meaning of gratitude every day, and to find the true meaning of restoring humanity.
